Citrix 1.x - Citrix WMI service terminates

Omar Bell I am running MOM 2005 and Presentations server XPa

I recently installed the MOM agent on one of my citrix servers. After I installed the Metaframe provider MOM reported the following error

The Citrix WMI Service service terminated with the following error:
Access is denied

Properties of service
Manual startup
Logon as: local system account

I have tried changing the service to automatic startup and restarting the server. This worked on startup but the service stopped again with the same error

Can anyone help me?
Martin Maierhofer I’m afraid WMI is an XPe feature only, so you won’t be able to monitor your XPa servers through MOM.
Omar Bell Thanks for the quick response. Are there any future plans to include XPa say for instance in the Management Pack for MOM 2005?

Martin Maierhofer Not that I’m aware of, I’m afraid. WMI and MOM interoperability is part of the XPe value add.
Isaac Goldfarb I have almost the same problem
