Citrix 1.x - RM Database Connection Server - Scripted Failover
| Mark Stanley | RMS is configurable as to which server will hold the Database Connection role. However, this process is manual ie ‘Resource Manager|Configure|Server’. Is there a scripted means to failover this role in the advent of the original server going off-line??? (I have searched MFCOM with no luck). Operating 2003, XPe FR3. Thanks…. |

As the DCS is only doing its job once every 24 hours I don’t think that it’s very important to trigger immediate switching… the summary data is kept locally on the servers until the DCS collects them (haven’t found a hint about how long they stay there, though - but it’s 24h at least). Otherwise MFCOM would have been my guest - but you tried that one already… Byebye, Konrad |
| Mark Stanley | Konrad, Thanks for the rapid response. We are using ‘Forceupdate’ to ensure data is reaching SQL at least every hour and as this is customer facing we need to ensure redundancy. If anyone has any further comments…? Is there a product request section on the Citrix web site? |
