Citrix Licensing License not being applied after uploading
| jason harber | I had to ghost my citrix server for our testing environment. Our latest ghost had 4.0 installed, no license, and the server name was incorrect.
I adjusted the server name. After reboot, I adjusted the tomcat-users.xml, so I would properly authenticate when connecting to the licensing page. This worked correctly. I authenticated. I then downloaded the license file via mycitrix.com. Once it is uploaded to the licensing server, no active licenses are showing up. It’s not even showing up as an expired license. The file appears as it has been uploaded correctly, but other than that, it is as if it never was installed. I’ve been searching the knowledge base for some time now. Any suggestions would be useful. |
| super pippo | If the server you ghosted and renamed happened to be a Citrix License Server as well, you need to rehost your licenses so that they reflect the new hostname. |
| jason harber | When you say rehost your licenses, what exactly does that mean? I re-downloaded the license to reflect the new server name.
Any other suggestions? |
| super pippo | I don’t think that simply redownloading will do the job. Read the details on how to rehost licenses here: Citrix Access Suite Licensing Guide |
