Citrix Web Interface Published apps opening new session for each app

Linda Buckler I have a new problem that is affecting licenses. When I open a published app from the website, then open another app, you know, multitasking, another session starts, using up multiple licenses per user. The terminal server setting has Restrict each user to one session=yes. Can anyone tell me the setting that is causing this prob. Metaframe Pres Server 4.0 on Win2003 server.

Lee Mathre It may be related to the color depth you have set for the applications. Check out Citrix article CTX127702.

Sam Jacobs Make sure your applications are set to run seamlessly, as non-seamless apps do not share sessions.

Linda Buckler Sam: Where do I do this? The users are connecting through a web address.

Linda Buckler Lee: I did have some variations in apps appearance and now have all set to 800×600 and colors 256 colors. Also, on Citrix Connection Configuration under client settings has Maximum color depth, 16 bit. But still opening a new session for each application.

Just make sure that you users’ display preferences (under the WI settings) are set to No Preference or Seamless.
