Citrix Password Manager - Upgrade of VDA agent from Beta to GA version inside VMs?

Didier Contis I was wondering if the VDA agent can be upgraded from the Beta version to GA inside existing VMs that have been already been deployed under XenDesktop Beta.

Is the GA version of the VDA agent backward compatible with the DDCs of XenDesktop Beta?

David Lloyd Hi,

It should be possible to uninstall the Beta VDA agent and then install the release version. It isn’t possible to directly upgrade the software.

The Beta and release versions of the VDA are not compatible, so both the DDC and workstations will have to be upgraded simultaneously. Note that the Active Directory structure ahs also changed and needs to be recreated.
