Citrix Web Interface NFUSE Classic 1.7/Presentation server 4.0

Guest I’m currently running NFUSE Classic 1.7 and CSG 1.1 for my NFuse solution, but we are planning our migration to PS4.0. Can I take all my Citrix servers, upgrade to FR3 on Metaframe XPe 1.0, and then upgrade to PS 4.0 WITHOUT upgrading my Nfuse and CSG solution? Or is Nfuse 1.7/CSG 1.1 not going to work as the web-based front end in PS4.0?

I will upgrade to the WI4 and CSG4, but I don’t want to upgrade everything at once if I don’t have to.

There have been a lot of features added to the XML service since NFuse 1.71, and I don’t know if they will cause problems or just be ignored. Unless you have made extensive modifications to your base NFuse installation, the conversion is quite painless (and you’ll save an SSL certificate and an external IP address in the process).

Guest Well, funny that you mention extensive modifications….

First, I’m authenticating against a Novell directory, not an NT4.0 domain. Second, when the Nfuse server was intially put in, there was no SSL setup on the server. So, I rewrote the loginnds.asp page to bounce to a secured loginndsnew.asp page.

Those might not be extensive, but they are probably not very common modifications.

Do you still think my conversion would be painless, or do you think I might have some issues? And, if I upgrade to the WI4.0, do I need to upgrade my CSG at the same time? And, would the WI4.0/CSG4.0 combination work for publishing apps on my old MF1.0 XPe farm?
