Citrix Licensing License Server License Count for PS 4.0

Guido Pinamonti I recently replaced my existing .lic file with 2 new ones from Citrix to correct a problem that referenced our SA licenses. This seemed to work OK. Early this morning, however, we received the following error message on our license server:

Severity: Service Unavailable
Status: New
Source: Citrix MetaFrame
Name: Licenses: Out of available licenses
Description: Out of available licenses in license pool MPS_ENT_CCU, Retail

Further information, and license administration functionality is available from http://USHQ-CITX7/lmc/index.jsp
Domain: COLUMBIA
Agent: USHQ-CITX7
Time: 5/15/2006 01:20:09
Owner:
(view with http://USHQ-MOM3:1272/?v=a%26#38;id=CCDD0124-D1FD-41D4-9177-7BECD245016F)

So when I check the license server reports, it says that we have 110 licenses under “Citrix” and 700 licenses under “MPS_ENT_CCU”. The 110 license count is correct. There’s no indication that I ran out of licenses per the reports, but I’m not sure where the 700 license count is coming from. (There’s the citrix_startup.lic file that contains 5000 licenses.)

LMSTAT shows 5000 licenses for “Citrix” and 110 licenses for “MPS_ENT_CCU”. Needless to say, I’m freaking confused. And let me say for the record how poor Citrix support is. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
