Citrix Web Interface logging out of nfuse and published applications
| Kat Zumbach | I am trying to figure out if there is a setting or something so that if a user logs out of the web interface and has published applications open the applications will close. What I am experiencing now is when I log out of the web interface the applications remain open and I am worried that when the users are using the Web Interface they will just log off or X out and the applications will stay open. Any help to make sure that when they log out all apps close down would be appreciated. Thanks for your help |
| Sam Jacobs | Kat,
That feature is built into Web Interface 3.0 (you need Presentation Server 3.0 as well). For prior versions, you would need to write MFCOM scripts. Sam |
| Kat Zumbach | thanks i am awaiting the new software and will test it out. Thank you for your help.

| Sam Jacobs | Check out the new “follow-me” roaming… If you have published applications running on your PC - if you move to another machine (e.g. a help-desk technician on the go), when you log onto machine #2, it will pull your applications from machine #1 and effortlessly (or so it seems) run them on machine #2. Your users need to be running version 8.0 of the ICA client to take advantage of all of the new functionality. Sam |
| Kat Zumbach | i will try that
I got the new software and loaded it and you are right it did the trick. Thanks so much for all the help. |
| Kat Zumbach | You helped me wtih this issue already and when I first installed the Presentation server and web server it worked. I redid the servers and now it is not working again. When I log out of my citrix web sessions my applications are staying open. I am not using workspace control because I am not using single sign on. Even when I go to the CMC I don’t have an option for Workspace control. I am using Presentation Server standard edition. I am also using citrix secure gateway 2.0 and STA. My client is the most recent version. Any help you could give me would be great. If you need me to supply any more information I will be happy to. Thank you in advance for your help |
| Sam Jacobs | I am not using workspace control because I am not using single sign on. Single sign-on is not necessary to be able to use Workspace Control. Sam |
| Juan VILLULLAS | We are having the same problem under WI4 and PS3. We have even open a case with Citrix Support. At least I see we are not the only one. |
| Luis FERNANDEZ | I have the same problem. My Web Interface is WI 4. My server Farm is Presentation Server 3. Workspace control and Session Reliability is enabled. When a WI session goes active several hours, on having finished or having disconnected only, it finishes the session of WI, the ICA Session and applications remains opened. It is possible configure a time out, in workspace control? |
