citrix4AntiVirus Question (again)

Greg Bennett I know this question has been asked several times and I’ve probably looked at most of the answers however they were a little outdated. Our current Citrix environment consists of 4 Citrix PS 4.0 (R05) Windows 2003 Server SP2 boxes that serve about 150+ users for various apps, desktops, etc.

We are currently using Symantec Antivirus Corp Ed 10.1.5.5 without any major hitches as far as Citrix goes however the actual virus scanning capability of the product has not been very good for us. Our maint. contract is up this spring and I’d like to replace it.

It used to be that Trend was the recommended product for Citrix / TS environments however most of that info is 4-5 years old, is that still the case? I’ve also heard good things about Sophos and Eset (NOD32) in Citrix / TS setups, would you concur with that? Anyways your thoughts and opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Mark Howell Greg,

Don’t know too much about the other 2 products you mentioned, but every Citrix farm I’ve architected has always run Trend-Micro without issue. I manage a pretty big farm right now with Trend installed farm wide and again haven’t had any issues to speak of…oh yeah and virus free which always helps.

Mark.
