| Hi all,
We have some problems with proximity printing on a XenApp 4.5 farm.
The problem is that printers are very slow created when a user logs on to a published desktop on the farm from a Wyse thin client.
It takes op to 10 minutes before alle printers are created within a session.
Does anyone had this problem in the past or on an XenApp 4.5 environment?
We have the following configuration:
1 Windows 2003 SP2 Print server VM
2 Windows 2003 SP2 DC VM
x Wyse thin client terminals with linux configuration
11 Windows 2003 servers SP2 with CPS 4.5
Printer drivers replicated to all the CPS 4.5 servers
Session printer policy’s based on subnet and AD security groups
Novell client 4.92 latest servicepack installed on all CPS 4.5 servers.
Zen works client installed on all the citrix servers.
The Citrix printer policies apply in a correct manner to a users session but very very slow.
Does anyone have any suggestion how to troubleshoot this.
I already tried all the options from the printer troubleshooting guide but had no success with it.
We also sniffed the network for problems and found some problems with the Novell client. We already tweaked the Novell client and that had some effect but printer creation keeps slow.
All suggestions are welcome.
Thanks in advance
